Retired Collin County Sheriff

Terry Box is a former sheriff of Collin County, which he served in that capacity for 31 years. Inspired in part by his father’s time as a volunteer fireman, Terry began his career in public safety in 1968. He has received numerous honors at the national, state, and county levels for his innovation and proven leadership in public safety.

Terry’s life can be recognized in Albert Einstein’s sentiment, “A life lived for others is a life worthwhile”. He’s most fulfilled when serving others, which is what attracted him to MDR – yet another opportunity to help others in need. He recently retired, but remains passionate in pursuing truth and honesty, as well as cars, fishing, hunting and golf in equal measure.
